The name Aubrey Gordon may not ring a bell with non racers but he is a consistant winner and a gentleman racer. His name spots the winners circle more times than not.Winning local races and the big races like Somerville and the National Championships. Using the 2001 Spring Series as training for the upcoming season, Aubrey has place several times in the top ten and is in line to haing a high placing in the overall prize List.

Gordon proved to be an instant success on the racing circuit. After racing competitively for less than a year, he earned a berth as a member of the Guyana National Team. The team participated in the 1975 Pan Am Games, where the young rider went home with a seventh place finish in Individual Pursuit. Numerous regional titles followed for him through 1977, when he again joined the National Team to participate in the World Championships. A string of three consecutive Caribbean Championship Titles followed for him from 1977 through 1979, along with a berth in the 1978 British Common Wealth Games.

In 1979, Gordon began his Olympic resume when he was selected to participate in the Pre-Olympics in Moscow. After years of hard training, he became a household name among the world's elite cyclists when he was selected as a member of two Olympic teams - one in Los Angeles in 1984 and the other in Barcelona in 1992.

The 2000 USA Masters National Champion will hit the New York raceways in March, racing for Team Squiggle, Americas Premiere Black Racing team.
